Hexology does not tolerate any form of child sexual exploitation and will remove media that depicts the abuse or exploitation of children.

Our Child Safety Policy is designed to protect children from sexual, physical and psychological harm, that may arise from sharing such content. If we find any content that harms or exploits children, we will remove it immediately.

Specifically, we use the terms children and minors interchangeably in our policies and define them as any person under the age of 18. Any content that contains Child Sexual Exploitation, Physical Child Abuse and Media of children in physical confrontations or disputes, will be removed.

Our priority is to protect children from physical and psychological harm and we encourage users of Hexology to report any content they find that depicts child sexual abuse and exploitation so that we can remove it.

Hexology prohibits:

Any content that depicts or promotes child sexual exploitation, this includes, but is not limited to, directly or indirectly sharing, requesting, linking to, favouriting, engaging with or following accounts that distribute, or express a desire for, or describe:

  • depictions of a child engaging in sexually explicit or suggestive acts, which included media that edits or obscures faces or body parts;
  • sexualised commentaries about or directed at a known (or unknown) minor;
  • links to third-party sites that host child sexual exploitation materials of any kind;
  • fantasies that promote or are about engagement in child sexual exploitation.

This includes content that:

  • identifies alleged victims of childhood sexual exploitation by name or image;
    promotes or normalises sexual attraction to minors as a form of identity or sexual orientation;
  • sends sexually explicit media to children, or engage or try to engage a child in a sexually explicit conversation;
  • attempts to obtain sexually explicit media from a child, or attempts to engage a child in sexual activity through blackmail or other incentives;
  • recruits, advertises or expresses an interest in a commercial sex act involving a child,
  • harbours and/or transports a child for sexual purposes;
  • threatens to share, or request that others share sexual media of minors, this includes sexual media of children that are self-generated, which is particularly relevant to activity that seeks to engage children in blackmail or bounty tactics.

For violations of our Child Sexual Exploitation policy:

in the majority of cases, users will be immediately and permanently suspended; additionally, when we are aware of content depicting or promoting child sexual exploitation, including links to third party sites where this content can be accessed, the accounts sharing this content will be reported to the National Crime Agency, Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command. For certain violations, we may remove posts and we may also ask someone to remove the violating content and we may at our discretion, suspend accounts.

How to Report

Anyone can report violations of this policy using our contact form. You do not need to have a Hexology account to report potential violations.

If you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm or death, please reach out to your local law enforcement. Additionally, after reporting potential violations of our Child Sexual Exploitation policy to us, you can also notify the National Crime Agency, Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command via their website:

Please be sure to report the content right away and do not like, reply to, quote-post, screenshot, follow accounts who distribute, or otherwise engage with the content; We do not require you to provide evidence of the potential violation in your report.
